Notable Changes from the Previous Year
After a complete redesign last year, the 2023 model sees a few changes. The mid-range Overland and Limited trims now offer a 10.1-inch display with navigation. The Alpine stereo system is now an option for the Limited trim and can be ordered with the Overland and Summit models.
Infotainment and Technology Features
An 8.4- or 10.1-inch screen with Uconnect 5 is available for all models. It includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Higher-end models can be equipped with a secondary 10.3-inch display for the front passenger and a 10.0-inch heads-up display. Other optional features include an Alpine audio system or a 19-speaker McIntosh arrangement.
Exterior Design
The exterior strays away from the usual oversized grille and instead takes the famous Jeep seven-slot grille. Slim taillights and headlights perfectly match the square body design. All models come with LED headlights and daytime running lights, a power tailgate and a dual-pane roof, which is standard for high-end models. Standard wheels are 17-inch fine silver aluminum wheels, with an option for 20-inch machined aluminum wheels.
Interior Comfort and Cargo Space
Jeep has modernized the interior of the 2023 Grand Cherokee with a few new features. High-end models offer a blend of rich leather surfaces and natural wood with high-resolution displays. Available features include ambient LED lighting and 16-way adjustable driver and front passenger seats. The cargo area can hold up to 2,396 litres when the second and third rows are folded down.
Performance Features
A 3.6-litre Variable Valve Timing V6 engine with eight-speed automatic transmission is standard. It provides 293 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque and up to 2,812 kg of towing capacity with a combined fuel efficiency of 11.3 L/100km. Optional upgrades include a 5.7-litre V8 engine with 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque.
Safety and Driver Assistance
With over 110 safety features, the 2023 Grand Cherokee gives you the freedom to explore. The available active driving assist uses radar and video sensors to adjust and keep the right path. You can also set the distance between vehicles for it to maintain. Other features include a surround-view camera, night vision, Intersection collision assist and drowsy driver detection.
